Abstract
Este texto es un intento de explicación de la posición del Estado en el cumplimiento de sus responsabilidades constitucionales y legales para la prevención y respuesta integral a las personas víctimas de trata. Se exploran los conceptos principales del Protocolo de Palermo en comparación con los estándares de la Constitución con la ayuda de herramientas de la jurisprudencia internacional y se enfatiza en la actuación judicial y sus potencialidades sobre la base de un rol más proactivo del juez.
