Visiones de la electrificación rural en la Amazonía Ecuatoriana: disputando lógicas hegemónicas

Abstract
La energía se considera clave para el desarrollo. Sin embargo, son escasos los proyectos de electrificación elaborados en torno a las aspiraciones de las poblaciones rurales y, menos aún, de las poblaciones indígenas amazónicas. A través de las distintas visiones de la electrificación de dos comunidades amazónicas, kichwa y siona, ubicadas en la Amazonía Norte y tres comunidades achuar situadas en la Amazonía Centro del Ecuador, este artículo señala los retos que supone trasladar las visiones del Buen Vivir y la energía de las poblaciones indígenas al diseño de proyectos de electrificación rural aislada. Argumentamos que el reconocimiento de esta diversidad de visiones supone una oportunidad para la construcción de nuevas lógicas de electrificación rural que trasciendan al paradigma tradicional de desarrollo y conciban a la energía como un elemento para la transformación social.
