Conception of territory from Quillasinga indigeneity in La Cocha lagoon, Colombia

Abstract
In Colombian southwestern lies the La Cocha lagoon, which is part of a Ramsar area and other conservation figures. Surrounded by various ecosystems including páramo, forests, reed beds, and wetlands. It stands out for its biodiversity and deep cultural and spiritual significance. It is considered a sacred place for the indigenous group of the Resguardo Quillasinga Refugio del Sol, who have undergone a process of identity recognition since the late 20th century. In this study, the relationship between indigeneity and the collective formation of the concept of territory is analyzed with a review from the perspective of ethnogovernmentality. It presents an introduction to the site and the community, followed by a theoretical explanation of key concepts and an analysis of territory comprehension. The methodology employed consisted of participant observation, semi-structured interviews, a field diary, and a secondary information search. As a result, It was found that indigeneity sets a pattern for the conceptualization of territory under a framework of prevailing ethnogovernmentality. It is also discussed that from the Quillasinga worldview, territory goes beyond the physical-spatial, including cultural and spiritual aspects that are framed within the vision of body-territory, as well as social relationships with certain no human elements.
